Old Elm Wood Kang Table
Kang Tables are low tables that would be used as tables or benches often on day beds to serve tea/food or play games or even to sit on. These old tables are made without any glue or nails, rather the pieces are held together by a complicated network of joints.
The kang is a feature of many homes, particularly in northern China. It is a platform at about knee height made from brick or timber. The kang table was an indispensable part of the household.
